Simerpreet Singh
Simer joined the Shankle Clinic in September 2022, following her graduation from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Biology and an additional major in Psychology. She will matriculate into medical school mid-2023. Simer previously worked as a Patient Care Technician, where she gained experience working with medical conditions related to the brain. Additionally, she has experience volunteering at her local hospital, serving as a psychology ULA, and assisting in research. Her research experience at the Plant Physiology Laboratory included running experiments on turfgrass to measure their levels of oxidative stress in harsh weather conditions. She also designed and performed a research study focusing on measuring student learning gains through different methods of studying for verbal final exams. At the Shankle Clinic, she serves as a Cognitive Tester, Membership Coordinator, and Medical Records Coordinator. In her free time, you can catch Simer at your local hiking trail, reading, or playing video games.
